Meet the Team

Kathleen Troeger, MPH - Sr. Director

Kathleen provides strategic direction for health outcomes research and clinical studies to demonstrate the value of diagnostic to patients, providers, and policy makers. Her areas of focus include in vitro and molecular diagnostics, preventive and diagnostic testing, and reproductive health. She has served on several working groups of the Advanced Medical Technology Association, including the Diagnostic Value Framework Task Force, and is currently a member of the Board of Governors for the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). Kathleen has previously held positions at Akzo Nobel Pharmaceuticals and Pfizer/Parke-Davis Women’s Health Care. She is a graduate of Vassar College and received her MPH from the University of Massachusetts.

Scott Pohlman, MS - Director

Scott’s primary focus is providing economic and clinical evidence to key stakeholders such as payers and health technology assessment bodies for Hologic’s Breast Health, Skeletal and Surgical businesses. Scott is the co-author of more than 200 scientific presentations and publications. Prior to joining Hologic, Scott was the Director of CT Clinical Science for Philips Healthcare. Scott holds a MS in Biomedical Engineering from the Ohio State University and a BSE in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University

Adrian Vilalta, MS, PMP, PhD - Director

Adrian leads the development of economic and clinical evidence in support of Hologic’s diagnostics product portfolio. Adrian has co-authored over 20 peer-reviewed articles, and numerous posters and presentations at both national and international fora. He has made strong contributions to the clinical interpretation of the human genome as well as the development of cancer and infectious disease vaccines. Prior joining Hologic, Adrian held leadership positions at Human Longevity, Pathway Genomics and Merck KGaA. Adrian holds a MS and PhD in Chemistry/Biochemistry from Georgetown University. He also did post-doctoral work at the University of Southern California.
